Sarah Palin is the most famous person to come out of Wasilla, Alaska, but Fred Keller and Jody Foster deserves some attention, too. Motto of the State of Alaska to be "North to the Future", but the couple has turned back the clock with its unique 1976 Mazda pickup. An oversize version of the classic Radio Flyer wagon red - I have turned the Car-hum into something memorable!
Inspired by a trip to a car show that featured a tribute to anotherRadio Flyer red wagon in the form of hot rods, chose something special out of a couple of old trucks that were not used to do. Keller came to a virtual background plane, because turning the toy truck to a massive use of instruments and supplies generally ships and aircraft began production reserved.
It took about a year for the vehicle which then becomes the head to adapt and to revive local parades Wasilla roads. The old Mazda hoursFeatures are looking just like the ones you remember from your childhood look like toys. The car was cut in order to create a convertible car. The painting reproduces every detail, the classic red Radio Flyer wagon on. Keller and Foster have a one-of-a-kind gift created. The vehicle is also equipped with eight feet long black "handle".
The creative duo was not limited to the same idea. The subtleties of execution are pretty impressive, too! Detergent bottles and old tires waspart of the cruiser's wheels. The steering wheel is actually a part from an original Radio Flyer wagon.
Somehow, they managed to pull it all off it in a way that left them street legal. That is right, Keller and Foster can take their giant Radio Flyer red wagon to the grocery store without any fear of a ticket from one of Wasilla's finest. In fact, the couple often takes to the highway in the super-toy, making the hundred-mile round trip to and from Anchorage in style. They claim the truck/wagon features solid handling. They do not drive it year-round, though. Their wagon is, of course, a convertible.
The Keller/Foster Radio Flyer red wagon truck has not yet reached the heights of popularity enjoyed by various Batmobile clones or the infamous Oscar Mayer wiener truck, but it is not hard to imagine the truck developing that kind of recognition--along with invitations to events all over the country--in short order.
After all, the modified Mazda is a tribute to a wildly popular toy with cross-generational appeals. It harkens back to that mythical, innocent, "simpler time" that seems to preoccupy so many people. It is incredibly well made and, most of all, it is fun!
